For a local brewing event I’m revisiting the first beer I ever made - Woodfordes Wherry which is a malt extract kit. I found the best place to buy in 2022 at the-home-brew-shop.co.uk
Follow the instructions on the packet - make the cans warm so will pour. Put into a fermenter with boiling water, mix, top up to 23 litres with cold. Add the yeast. Nice!
Total time to make.. about 30 mins
Ferment
SG starting gravity is approx 1040
should be 7 - 10 days at 18 - 20 degrees
FG should be 1014 or less aiming for 4.5%
Condition
Mon 2nd Dec (14 days) - getting FG of 1012 from hydrometer. Strangely the refractometer is giving 1020
